Looking for some good hard rock that takes you back to the best of the 80s? I have what you need with the Americans of Autograph' which had a period of activity in the 80s with three albums, the first 'Sign In Please' containing the hit 'Turn up the Radio'. After an unconvincing attempt to return to the front of the stage in the 2000s, it is only two decades later that we can put ourselves between the ears of this new album 'Beyond' from Autograph'. And yet, the year 2022 was not easy because they lost their bassist 'Randy Rand' but he had planned everything for the album to see the light of day. We therefore embark on 13 classic hard-rock compositions taking us back a few decades and which are all very accessible, starting with an energetic 'This Ain't The Place I Wanna Be' (see the video above) with its memorable chorus, then scroll titles all as good as each other with for example the rhythmic 'You Slave Tonight' and 'Everything' which automatically start the headbanging machine and we could cite others like 'Run for your Life' or 'Feels so Good' or even the bonus track 'Mind of Fear' which has nothing to envy to its predecessors. Some quieter moments in AOR style are present with 'Take Me Higher (see the video here) and 'Love Is A Double Edge Sword'. In short, this unexpected new album from the Americans of Autograph' is full of good energy with catchy melodies and 'Beyond' should go on a loop for all those who love classic hard rock that takes us back to the 80s... | |
