Since her come back in 2016, 'Lee Aaron' has multiplied his albums and 2021 saw the release of the very good 'Radio On!' and 'Almost Christmas' which contained Christmas songs with rock sauce. A year later, it's the turn of Elevate' to see the light of day and, with the same line-up, she has concocted new compositions for us that smack of direct and effective rock, which have been recorded in live conditions, which adds to this spontaneity and this authenticity which is good in this gloomy winter period. And right off the bat, with the rhythmic 'Rock Bottom Revolution' (see the video above), if your head doesn't want to beat the beat to the tempo set by an addictive bass line, it's because you you're not cut out for this kind of music. For others, you will certainly be won over by the following with the mid-tempo 'Trouble Maker' (see the video here), the popular 'The Devil U Know' with its memorable chorus, then 'Freak Show' continues in this direction with a marked rhythm which is followed by the catchy 'Heaven's Where We Are' which makes you want to accompany Lee in the chorus. The second part of the album continues with new melodic compositions that we appropriate from the first listen, the beautiful ballad 'Red Dress' coming to be inserted for a well-deserved moment of recovery between an energetic 'Highway Romeo' and the super effective heavy tempo of the blues/rock 'Spitfire Woman' and the album ends in a very beautiful way with the title song which again highlights the powerful vocals of 'Lee Aaron' who transports us one last time with a remarkable crescendo and a new rhythm that makes you headbang throughout the title.
In summary, it's still a remarkable album that 'Lee Aaron' offers us which continues, release after release, to spoil us with his direct and effective rock which gives you energy and vitality and which arrives at the right time during this pre-Christmas period to give us a little boost... | |
