'Angelwings' is a new Spanish group of symphonic metal which was formed in Gibraltar initially by playing covers of 'Nightwish' and which has just released its first album 'The Edge Of Innocence'. Surfing on the wave of bands like 'Within Temptation' ('Divi Cano' is in the same register as 'Sharon den Adel'), they offer us more than 50 minutes of beautiful powerful compositions alternating energetic titles and others calmer with a very good production and arrangements for a first record. From the first title 'Wonderland', everything is implemented to join immediately and Divi shows us that she has everything to perform in this style. The eponymous title of more than 8 minutes is very epic shows us that they also know to offer melancholy and powerful titles at the same time. To summarize, 'Angelwings' is added to the already long list of symphonic metal bands with singer but should, if they continue in this way, make themselves a good place because this first opus is really promising... | |
