With 'Africa Speaks', I take you on a wonderful journey that brings together the best of Africa and South America thanks to two endearing artists that are on the one hand, the Spanish 'Buika' of Equato-Ginean origin (see albums in Spotify here) and on the other hand, the legendary 'Carlos Santana' that it is useless to present (already 3 years that 'Santana IV' is out - see here). The compositions are thus a melting pot of influences that start of course with a mixture of Afro-Latin but which also go beyond, encompassing East and West and that we could call simply 'World Music'. Throughout the album, it is a kind of permanent exchange between the captivating and powerful voice of Buika and the electric guitar so characteristic of Carlos who live their art to the very depths of themselves, and, one every second, there is a spontaneity which gives the impression that each title is an improvisation. And, when we know that it is in about ten days that our two artists have recorded the equivalent of 4 albums, we understand this feeling of freshness and sincerity, but this is also the mark of the great artists because very little of them arrive at this result in the studio.
