Not easy to find information about these Guatemalans d "Oricalkos'; their facebook page presents them as a group of progressive Metal and the first listen to their debut album 'Aniemigenal', it's not that obvious as they navigate between several styles: the first title in 9 minutes, although only instrumental, is fairly representative with at least 6 different parts that follow one another and making a very good title and never tired. We feel different influences which undeniably that of 'Pink Floyd'. The second strong title is 'Pandemia' complex in construction with a base pretty heavy interspersed more atmospheric part with the introduction of a cello (that I wish a bit longer) then the heavy theme of departure that comes up and then a break which introduced the final acoustic where the cello reappears. Is not of the ' to consume on the spot' although, even if in some places we regret a little too long, 'Oricalkos' already has strong potential as soon as their debut and it a safe bet that it will count on them in the coming years...
