The Englishmen of 'Big Big Train' who are perhaps the most prolific artists currently in the field of progressive rock continue to release fairly close albums and 2018 sees the release of a Live 'Merchants of Light' in which the majority of the titles are taken from their 3 last studio opus, 'Folklore' of 2016 (see here), 'Grimspound' of 2017 (see here) and the last of 2017 'The Second Brightest Star' (see here). Recorded at three Prog Award shows at London's Cadogan Hall in 2017, they give us 2 hours and a quarter of concert with an excellent live performance from all the musicians and with a 'David Longdon' in a great shape in this live atmosphere that brings even more warmth into these carefully crafted compositions and where each artist brings his stone to the building for a wonderful result filled with sensitivity and emotion like in the great title 'Swan Hunter' where it's not possible to remain indifferent. In summary, this excellent live Big Big Train is a good way to discover this band that is now a must for all progressive rock fans...
