I discovered 'Master Sword' with their first LP in 2018 'Shadow and Steel' and the end of 2019 saw the release of the suite set to music for 'The legend of Zelda', the famous game of 'Nintendo'. We are therefore the continuity of the first opus, in a style mixing power metal, symphonic metal and melodic metal with an accent for epic compositions. After the very short instrumental introduction ‘Footsteps in the Dark’, ‘The Final Door’ starts in a hellish train with a first beautiful vocal performance of ‘Lily Taylor’ who, as we say, blows you away. Without transition, ‘Hero of Time’ adds a layer with a dazzling energy, then ‘Children of Old’, slower than previous compositions, nevertheless remains powerful and contains components of folk metal. The second part of the album scrolls 'Enchantress' with a subtle alternation between powerful parts and others much quieter, then, 'A Bloody History' which in a grandiose and tormented atmosphere adds progressive elements, then, 'Forgotten in Stone' mixing progressive and symphonic metal and alternating different tempos in some places, slow and majestic and in others fast and jerky, and finally, 'The Forsaken Tribe' ends the album in a cheerful atmosphere with oriental sounds that can recall the melodic lines and the fiery of the Tunisians of 'Myrath' (see their live here).
In summary, the Americans of 'Master Sword' continue on the path they had traced with the first opus 'Shadow and Steel' and 'The Final Door' is intended for an audience loving a varied metal that mixes power, symphonic, melodic and progressive...
