After the Italians of 'Derdian' (see here), it's the turn of the Germans of 'Powerwolf' to release a new album 'The Sacrament of Sin' which is part of the continuity of their production, that is to say, easy access power metal with melodies to make stadiums sing. We therefore embark on 11 titles all very effective especially because the tempos are generally less rapid than those we knew but more marked which gives even more this irresisitble desire to stomp in measure. In addition, they offer us a beautiful power ballad 'When The Wild Wolves Are Gone' while they did not get used us to this kind of title. Note that the deluxe version (which is in Spotify except the last title 'Ira Sancti' of ‘Eluevetie’ that you can listen on you tube here) contains a second CD entitled 'Communio Lupatum' which is a set of covers of their compositions interpreted by other groups with among others 'Epica', 'Battle Beast' or 'Kissin 'Dynamite' which constitutes an excellent idea to revisit some hits of the Germans. In summary, 'Powerwolf' continues to make some 'Powerwolf' with so much energy and it is not with this last album that we’ll can say the opposite but, on the other hand, they do it so well that it would be a shame to sulk our pleasure...
