Listening to the first title 'Enter the Cipher' of the Sweden's of 'Follow The Cipher', I ended up with 'Nightwish', 7 years earlier and the release of ‘Imagenerium'. So, does this new band that releases its first album is a remake of the Finns and that 'Nuclear Best' has sniffed the good business deal ? Not so sure, because, after this first title follows 'Valkerya' highlighting keyboards and flirting with power metal and where the singer 'Linda Toni Grahn' demonstrates all his vocal talent in a fast title, then with 'My Soldiers', we embarks for a power ballad that would approach formations like 'Within Temptation'. With 'Winterfall', it is a metal tube in power, certainly commercial, but very catchy whereas 'Titan's Fall' is a symphonic metal anthem with a chorus to make sing a whole public. The continuation continues in this way with varied compositions and melodic lines accessible from the first listening as 'The Rising', 'I Revive' or 'Carolus Rex'. In summary, even if the Swedes of 'Follow the Cipher' are influenced by major melodic or symphonic metal formations, this first album already shows a great maturity in the variety of their production which is without contest a pledge of quality and that can only be promising for the following of their career... | |
