At the dawn of 2020, 2019 was full of live, so here is the list of myprogmusic chronicles of live in styles very different from each other, ranging from folk to metal through to progressive rock. To this first list, for a fortnight, will be added other live released in 2019 but which had not yet been the subject of chronicle.

'Downes Braide Association' is the meeting between 2 artists, first of all 'Geoff Downes' who was a member of 'Yes' and who is still one of the pillars of 'Asia' (see their latest album here) and 'Chris Braide', composer and producer who has participated in multiple projects. 2019 sees the release of their 4th collaboration with this first public recording 'Live In England' which was given to 'East Sussex's Trading Boundaries' in 2018. In an accessible pop style, they interpret compositions from their different albums including set of the last 'Skyscraper Souls' (see here ) but also classics like 'Video Killed The Radio Star' of 'Bugles' and, last but not least, with the 2 most famous hits of 'Asia', 'Heat of the Moment' and 'The Smile Has Left Your Eyes'. So we are embarked on a style influenced by the 80s with melodies that captivate immediately and with the singing of 'Chris Braide' which makes me think in some compositions to 'Al Stewart' especially since the harmonious and delicate atmospheres are close to those of the British (listen to 'Lighthouse'). In short, with this ‘Live In England’, we have a wonderful time with two artists who take us on a journey through their world of delicate and appealing pop...
