I come back to the new project 'Fiction Syxx' of American artists who released their first album 'Tall Dark Secrets' in August 2017. Surrounded by a great deal of guests, they offer us 11 compositions between melodic rock and hard rock influenced by bands of the 70s between 'Toto', 'Foreigner' and 'Deep Purple'. Input, 'Given Sight' sets the tone with a catchy melody and a catchy rhythmic then 'Play On Words' show that they are able to vary their style for a quieter title but still successful. The suite alternates energetic tracks like 'Welcome to My Nightmare' or 'Demon in My Window' and ballads like 'Where We belong' or 'Spirits Collide'. In short, even if they do not bring real novelties, 'Fiction Syxx' release an album of qualiy thanks to experienced artists and catchy compositions from the first listening and 'Tall Dark Secrets' should please all fans who navigate between rock and melodic hard-rock... |
