After the remarkable 'Big (Live)' in 2017 (see here ), here's for blues/rock fans, the latest album of 'Danny Bryant', 'Means of Escape' which was released in September 2019. He continues to enchant us with compositions of authenticity and admirable sensitivity and the cover of the album is quite significant of this Englishman who fell into the potion of the blues at the age 15 years because the photo shows him wearing his guitar as to better show that it is an integral part of himself. So we embark on a little more than 40 minutes of blues/rock with this fusion between his singing that conveys a real emotion and his saturated guitar game so characteristic and this from the first titles, the mid-tempo 'Tired of Trying', 'Too Far Gone' and his masterly rise or 'Means of Escape' in which he explains that music has always been for him a great way for him to escape. And in the middle of these powerful and energetic titles, Danny also has the gift of carrying us first with the acoustic 'Skin and Bones' in which the emotion is at its height but also with the poignant ballad 'When the River ends'. And the album ends with two remarkable tracks, first of all 'Hurting Time' which is the kind of timeless title that takes you back to the origins of the blues and the instrumental 'Mya' in which one last time, it transports us with his guitar thanks to a slow melody filled with passion.

In short, as you will understand, 'Danny Bryant' at the top of his art, still offers a wonderful album that all lovers of blues/rock will enter their ideal record collection but should also reach a much more public wide because this style became an universal music...
