'Guild Of Ages' is an American band some of whose members started their career in the 80s with 'Caught In The Act' and changed their name in the late 90s to 'Guild Of Ages' and released 3 albums until 2002; then, they separated for more than 10 years and this is the scene that made them reform in 2014 and 2018 sees the release of their 4th studio album 'Rise' with always the same line-up. 2 short instrumental tracks ('Intro' and the last track 'Outro') frame 10 tracks in the tradition of a melodic rock of the 80's; 'Deep in Heaven' and 'Around the Sun' which brings us back to the spent with beautiful choruses and catchy melodies accessible from the first listening. The following scrolls an energetic 'Addicted', the beautiful et effective ballad 'Every Road Leads Me Home', the melodic 'All Fall Down', a 'Loves Rules All' which contrasts with the rest with its sought-after choruses and instrumentation, and finally, the second ballad of the album 'Heart Collide' in a 'Westcoast' style. In summary, even if they do not bring real novelties, 'Guild Of Ages' released a good and accessible melodic rock album for fans of this style and the 80s...
