After collaborating in the group 'Hardline' for the album 'Double Eclipse' of 1992 (see here), the two artists 'Johnny Gioeli' and 'Deen Castronovo' meet up 25 years later to release together a first album 'Set the World in Fire' in the great tradition of a melodic rock of the 90s and this under the leadership of 'Alessandro Del Vecchio' well known in the hard-rock sphere. The set is very accessible from the first listening with a good variety from one title to another: from the first 3 tracks, we go from the energetic 'Set the World in Fire' to a very typical 80's FM rock 'Through' then, 'Who I Am' is in a much quieter style between mid-tempo and ballad. The following is the image of this beginning: alternating between catchy and quieter titles with beautiful melodic lines that you immediately enter the head with for example the beautiful ballad 'It's all About You' and his solo of guitar filled of feeling or 'Need You Know' with a chorus that plunges you into the melodic rock of the 80s and reminds me of the rhythms of 'The Alan Parsons Project' or the beautiful 'Mother' that would certainly have made a hit in a other time. Finally, much more melodic rock than hard-rock, this new rapprochement between the 2 Italians is a total success and 'Set the World in Fire' should be very well received by a large audience who appreciates the soft side of melodic hard-rock 80s/90s...
