And that’s 7 for the Americans of 'Black Stone Cherry' : after 'Kentucky' in 2016 (see Here) and an EP ('Black To Blues') in 2017 where they returned to their blues roots, 2018 sees the release of 'Family Tree'. We do not change a team that wins and this new album continues to deliver good hard rock with influences from bands like 'ZZ Top' (listen to 'Burnin' it's obvious!). From the beginning, with titles like 'Bad Habit' and his magnificent guitar solo in a change of tempo or 'New Kinda Feelin' and his rhythm that can only make you stomp, the tone is given and 'My Last Breath 'arrives just right for a short break and enjoy the ever-poignant voice of' Chris Robertson '. The sequel is the image of the beginning with for example 'Dancin' in the Rain 'which sees the participation of' Warren Haynes' as to better assert their roots rooted in the blues / rock of the 70s or 'You Got The Blues' and his heavy riffs. Note the 2 titles 'Is not Nobody' and tribute to 'James Brown' that add a soulful side to the ensemble and the title track of the album that closes the album well with his slide guitar solo. In summary, 'Black Stone Cherry' continue their own way by delivering us a quality 'Family Tree' in the tradition of American blues / hard-rock artists of the 70s...
