Originally from 'Kansas City', which gave rise to a lot of blues artists, 'Danielle Nicolle' is a singer, bassist and songwriter who began her career with the family band 'Trampled Under Foot' with several releases of albums (spotify link Here) including 'Badlands' with which they won the best album title contemporary at Blues Music Awards in 2014 and Danielle the best bassist award. In 2015, the first album 'Wolf Den' released under her new stage name 'Danielle Nicole' and 'Cry No More' is her second studio album. His style is obviously rooted in the tradition of blues but declined in all its forms: it starts with 'Crawl' which is a very effective blues-rock then 'I'm Going Home' takes us in a lively title tinged with gospel and in 'Hot Spell', R&B title of 'Bill Withers', the voice of 'Danielle' is wonderful. In 'Cry No More', the couplet reminds me of Eagles' 'Westcoast' style, then, 'Bobby' is a beautiful acoustic song in the style of 'Neil Young' and in the title of Alicia Keys', 'How Come U Do not Call You Anymore', Danielle shows all her sensuality. In addition, for the occasion, she surrounded herself with artists of the blues scene with among others 'Walter Trout' with whom she made a superb voice/guitar duo on 'Burnin' For You'. In summary, 'Danielle Nicole' confirms all her talent by releasing a very good album full of authenticity and emotion, and 'Cry No More' should appeal to a large audience of all lovers of music rooted in the blues...
