It is still a Swedish band that is in the spotlight with 'Seventh Dimension' but not in the field of melodic rock but between symphonic and progressive rock and metal with this magnificent double album 'The Corrupted Lullaby' of over 2 hours which is their 3rd studio album telling the story of 'The Dreamer' who lives with 'The Lily' but who is still in love with 'The Rose' disappeared in a road accident fifteen years ago (the story is detailed on the group site here). The music is therefore at the service of this story and the different compositions alternate powerful parts and other quieter and changes of tempos which is typical of the progressive and necessarily requires time to penetrate each corner and to tame each title. The melodic lines are relatively accessible with a nice balance between the guitar and the keyboards and we can note a certain diversity in the atmospheres that follow each other, each title having its own personality to allow to pass the different emotions that they convey as the joy, sadness or despair. In summary, this latest Swedish album of 'Seventh Dimension' is of an impressive richness and density and necessarily requires multiple listenings to draw all the quintessence and, consequently, will be undoubtedly intended for a public aware magnet long progressive developments with different ambiances far apart from each other...
