The Swedish band 'tAKiDA', which now has been in existence for twenty years, is now one of the world's leading names in accessible melodic rock and their latest album 'Sju' is no exception to the rule, as it contains 10 tracks that are short enough but effective for a total of 37 minutes. 'What About Me? ' sets the tone with a catchy rhythmic and a heady chorus that goes straight into your head and 'How Far I'll Go' and 'Eva' that follow are less energetic but just as melodic. The sequel scrolls through the single 'Master' already released in 2018, the mid-tempo 'The Meaning', then 'Edge' accelerates the tempo with a new heady chorus, and as for 'Untouchable, Pt2' which is a cover of 'Anathema' (see their latest album here), they had the good idea to invite the singer 'Dea Norberg' known to have participated in several Eurovisions, and finally the album ends with the pop 'Final Day' and 'Fading into Life' with still unstoppable choruses and 'In The Wake' much more dynamic. In short, the Swedes of 'tAKiDA' continue to offer us little melodic gems between pop et rock and 'Sju', beyond their already very large fan base is intended for the general public...
