After the success of the first album 'New World' (see Here), the new album of 'Dave Kerzner' was awaited by a whole public fervent of progressive rock in the movement of the 'Floyds'. Dave presents 'Static' as a progressive rock opera that deals with interferences in our daily lives with a lot of things that are brakes for our happiness. As usual, he has surrounded himself with prestigious artists of the progressive scene who belong to formations such as among others, 'Mostly Autumn' (Alex Cromarty), 'Porcupine Tree' (Colin Edwin), 'Vega' (Stuart Fletcher), 'David Gilmour' (the Durga and Lorelei Mcbroom singers). With this last opus, I had the impression of getting up in a carousel where I saw scrolling during 1 hour and a quarter a large part of my musical influences, starting of course by the 'Pink-Floyd', as for example In 'Hypocrites' and the allusion to 'Astronomy Domine'. But many other formations come to mind and I would quote : the 'Beatles', 'Electric Light Orchestra', 'Steven Wilson', 'David Gilmour' and so on. In short, 'Dave Kerzner' continues his way away from the media and still offers us an album of a very high quality that should join for progressive fans the ideal music collection...
