'Tomorrow's Eve' is a German group made up of artists from the metal scene who has not released an album for 10 years and this last album is the end of the trilogy of 'Mirror of Creation' whose first part already dates from 2003, based on Edgar Poe's poem 'A dream in a dream' which describes life as a dream of which we are the spectators with all the interpretations that can be done around this poem. To set this theme to music, they offer us 11 tracks in a style that mixes classic metal influences with sophisticated progressive metal with a large number of rhythm changes, alternating between powerful and much quieter parts, and multiple arrangements both instrumental and vocal. As often in this case, the compositions are not necessarily accessible at the first listen even if most titles contain catchy melodic lines and for example in 'Morpheus', the chorus is reminiscent of the musical lines of 'Threshold' (see last album here). In summary, the Germans 'Tomorrow's Eve' release an album of incredible richness and, even if it may remain destined to an informed public, this end of trilogy should appeal to all those who loves a complex and sought progressive metal...
