For first fans who were used to energetic compositions, after 'Lost Whispers' who already had relatively soft titles of the band (see Here), with this latest album, 'Amy Lee' decided to revisit some songs from the Evanescence repertoire in a symphonic way with a few electro touche. Of course, this interpretation brings a completely different lighting with a melancholic touch starting with 'Never Go Back' which takes a completely different face. 2 new titles were composed for the occasion, first of all 'Hi-Lo', imbued with a certain romanticism accentuated by the strings of the orchestra and then 'Imperfection' which is the composition containing the most of electro and which talks about a pretty black theme about people close to depressive and suicidal and I quote Amy which is It's a plea to fight for your life, to stay’. In short, as you will understand, 'Amy Lee', with 'Synthesis', shows another face of Evanescence' but in the end, it is not the style that is important but what the music vehicle to touch the public and in this case, 'Synthesis' is for me a total success ...
