After the Canadian 'Rob Moratti' (see here), it's the Italians from 'Wheels Of Fire' who have not released an album since 2012 (see here) and coming back to the front of the stage with a new studio recording 'Begin Again'. In a rock / hard-rock melodic style, they offer us 12 effective compositions in the tradition of the 80s and, from the first tracks, we embark on catchy rythms with a 'Scratch the Bitch' and then 'Lift Me Up' continue in this direction with the beautiful voice/guitar duet between 'Davide Barbieri' and 'Stefano Zeni', then 'Tonight Belongs to You' and 'Done for the Day' have two memorable choruses. 'For You', which follows, is the first ballad with melancholic melodic lines as the Italians know so well to do, then, we go again for 'Keep Me Close', an energetic melody with beautiful vocal harmonies, the Italians proposing us 'Heart of Stone', 'You'll Never Be Lonely Again' and 'Another Step in the Dark' which are quieter, in a more AOR spirit. Following 'Call My Name', the second ballad break which is in the same spirit as 'For You', the album ending with the quiet mid-tempo 'Can not Stand It' and a bonus that is none other than eponymous title of the album and which has nothing to envy to the other compositions of the album and has a chorus that should be very effective in concert. In short, if you are a fan of melodic hard rock accessible with memorable choruses, beautiful vocal harmonies and guitar solos well dosed, this album 'Begin Again' Italians 'Wheels Of Fire' is made for you...
