Not possible, with all the twists and turns of our friends from the kangaroo's country have been through for a decade, the deaths of brothers Malcolm and George Young, the legal troubles of 'Phil Rudd' and the hearing problems of 'Brian Johnson' (normal for a guy who takes 120 db regularly in the coconut), we say to ourselves that it is a miracle to have again in the hands a pancake of AC/DC, this legendary group which, after the release of 'Highway To Hell' in 1979 and of 'Back in Black' in 1980, made a small stop on January 9, 1981 in France at the Besançon sports center (and yes, memories, memories, forty years ago !!). No need for a long column, this new Australian baby is a bomb that takes us directly back to that time when we were unleashed on 'Highway to Hell' in the "boums" (and yes, young people, we called like that parties with friends in the 80s !!) to the amazement of the girls who did not quite understand that their boyfriend suddenly turns into a completely crazy alien. And yes, with that 'POWER UP', 'AC/DC' makes some 'AC/DC' trademark, and god knows I'm drawn to all kinds of rock music, but how good it feels to turn up the sound and listen to songs like 'Rejection' or 'Code Red' (grumpy people will say it sounds familiar already, and yes, man, intros must remind you of 'Shot Down In Flames' for the first one and 'Back in Black' for the second and that's why it's at all good, who cares if it looks like something known) and I could quote all the titles of this opus so much each of them titillates our ears from the introduction with these riffs so characteristic of Angus. In short, I do not know if it is the completely anxiety-provoking period but the young people of the 70s/80s are doing well (remember that in my last reviews we find in different styles of music people in their seventies like 'Bruce Springsteen', 'Steve Hackett', 'Nick Mason', 'Roger Waters', 'Robert Plant' or still 'Eric Bloom' et 'Donald Roeser' de 'Blue Öyster Cult') and 'AC/DC' is still here to prove it to us with 'POWER UP' which is to be consumed without moderation, especially since music is still and, fortunately, an art that does not require authorization to be able to enjoy it when and where you want...
