'Eyevory' is a German progressive rock band that has just released its 4th studio album, 'Aurora', if we count the first opus 'The True Bequest' from 2012 which was more an EP. Their style is close to formations like 'Mostly Autumn' (see their latest album here), 'Fleesh' (see their latest album here). ) or the latest project of 'Ian Jones', 'Chasing The Monsoon' (formerly 'Karnataka') to quote a recent album (see here) and their particularity is to have two singers who are also instrumentalists which is a real plus in terms of the vocal section which is much richer.
So we navigate in a melodic universe and this from the first title 'Unrest' in which they mix an energic rhythm section and quieter parts with the intervention of the flute which softens the whole. With 'Limelight', which continues in a catchy tempo, the duet Jana/Kaja works wonderfully well, then, 'Roses' is a melodic mid-tempo that alternates intensity and softness in a rock/folk atmosphere and 'Slowly Falling' is a peaceful ballad with a beautiful guitar solo and still a remarkable Jana/Kaja vocal duo. The following scrolls the catchy 'Forever Endeavor' interspersed with a nice quiet part, the very melodics 'Caught Between the Fires' and 'Follow Me' and their rock/folk atmosphere in the instrumental parts still embellished by the flute and finally 'Soulmates' which begins calmly and which gradually increases. The album ends with the 11 minutes of 'Carry On', a magnificent progressive title in several parts with beautiful melodic lines, remarkable instrumental parts, a still wonderful vocal section and a very beautiful finale (my only regret is the fade final out).

In short, the Germans of 'Eyevory' are releasing a very enjoyable album mixing progressive, melodic and symphonic rock with folk components here and there and 'Aurora' should appeal to all those who love bands like 'Mostly-Autumn', 'Mystery' or 'Karnataka' to name a few...
