'Cyrcus Flight' is a German band who self-produced its first album 'The Clueless Caravan' in 2017 and which fortunately has been spotted by the label 'Freya' which has now been distributed for a few months. Their style is difficult to define because they mix progressive with a mix of influences drawn from jazz, rock and hard-rock with a search for catchy melodic lines from the first listen. In addition, the singer 'Izzy d'Ambrosio' has a beautiful voice and knows how to adapt to different styles, sometimes powerful in energetic titles like 'At the End of All Time' or 'Finger on the Trigger', sometimes sensual in the quieter compositions as in the 9 minutes of Endless Fall 'which goes from a symphonic atmosphere to a jazzy atmosphere and ends with beautiful Izzy aerial vocalizations. Note the last title (before the bonuses) which is a very instrumental 'Floydien' which closes the album on a progressive note. In summary, the Germans of 'Cyrcus Flight' released a very good album accessible and varied that should touch a public loving the diversity of genres because if you like mix symphonic, jazzy, or hard-rock, all sprinkled with progressive, this 'The Clueless Caravan' is for you... | |
