While listening to the first title of the 3rd album 'Chrysalis' of the Spaniards of 'Last Days of Eden', I told myself that they did a cover of a 'Nightwish' song that I did not know. Well, no, 'Forevermore' is an original composition and the band has again changed its musical orientation to start again on metal mixing symphonic and celtic and for this reason, the resemblance is striking with their colleagues 'Finns'. Indeed, with the latest opus 'Traxel Mör' (see Here), they had offered us a wonderful album full of serenity sung in Spanish far from metal. I must say that I'm quite fond of this kind of turnaround because this ability to vary styles generally shows great musical quality. It is indeed the case with this last album which scrolls foolprrof melodies which hangs on the first listening like 'Wanderer' and its catchy folk side, 'The Storyteller' with its chorus which you enter immediately in the head or 'Aedea's Daughter' of almost 10 minutes which shows all the talent of 'Lady Ani' in different registers and which presents a very symphonic aspect because we sails between band like 'Edenbridge' and 'Therion'. In short, this last album of the Spaniards of 'Last Days of Eden' is a no-fault that should appeal to all fans of the genre but it is also the kind of album that can allow some people to discover this style of music because 'Chrysalis' offers symphonic metal very accessible to the general public...
