If you like big sound with very sharp guitar riffs and a singer with a powerful voice that give everything of himslelf, I have what you need: the 3rd album of the Spaniards of 'Lords Of Black', 'Icons of the New Days'. In the Spotify version we are entitled to the digipack version which contains in addition to 12 titles, 6 bonuses including 4 covers and 2 tracks discarded from the last album for a total of one hour and 45 minutes ! it starts on top with 'World Gone Mad' very heavy then an 'Icons of the New Days' with a lot of work in the rhythm section. The following is the image of this beginning, with for example the very melodic 'Forevemore' or 'King's Reborn' which reminds me a little of the style of 'Saxon'. But the flagship title of the album is undoubtedly the last (before the 6 bonuses), 'All I Have Left' of more than 11 minutes where the Spaniards show a more progressive facet with a magnificent composition alternating moments calm and powerful, breaks of rhythms and instrumental and sung parts ending in a grandiose way. Also we can note very successfull covers of 'Queen' ('Innuendo'), 'Anthrax' ('Only'), 'Bruce Dickinson' ('Rears of the Dragon') and 'Journey' (Edge Of Blade '), the 2 more titles 'The Maker And The Storm' and 'When Nothing Was Wrong' being from titles not released on the previous album. In summary, this third installment of the Spaniards 'Lords Of Black' shows that they are now in the lead pack of heavy metal formations and this 'Icons of the New Days' is recommended for all lovers of powerful metal and melodic...
