'Tommy Johansson' has been on all fronts for two years since he is, first of all, one of the two guitarists of 'Sabaton' but also the singer in the new formation 'Memories of Old' and also participated in several other projects including 'Astralium' and 'Gabriels'. On top of all this he created a new power metal project 'Majestica' with a debut album 'Above The Sky' in 2019 and 2020 see the release of a new opus dedicated to Christmas with the tale of 'Charles Dickens', 'A Chistmas Carol' (decidedly at the moment, this tale is in fashion with 'Choruscant' and 'tRKproject').

But, with the references cited above, as you can imagine, the atmospheres are quite far from the traditional Christmas sung by 'Tarja' and we are rather in a energetic speed metal and, in a good spirit, it is a little as if 'Disneyland' had ordered a Christmas songs from 'Alex Staropoli' or 'Luca Turilli'. After the short instrumental introduction 'A Christmas Carol' which almost makes us believe that we are going to find ourselves in the middle of 'Mickey' and his friends, 'A Chistmas Story' bursts into a riot of energy with a heady first melody that borrows from classical music, then, the two following titles 'Ghost of Marley' and 'Ghost Of Christmas Past' continue along this path all traced with great chorus of choirs which give us a serious desire accompany them, all this being accompanied of sounds in a Christmas ambiance. After these three addictive melodies deploying an incomparable fire power (of Christmas), the ballad 'The Joy Of Christmas' arrives at the right time to recover from all our emotions and transport us to the country of Santa Claus with melodic lines borrowed from songs traditional with that little touch of melancholy which can only move the grown-up children that we have remained. And it is the turn of a feeric 'Ghost Of Christmas Present' to take over in a new overheated atmosphere and a marked rhythmic that our feet beat all alone, then it is followed by a theatrical 'Ghost Of Christmas To Come'with radiant choirs and 'A Christmas To Come' continues in this same atmosphere with a new blessed Christmas tale melody, the album ending with the instrumental 'A Majestic Christmas Theme' which borrows from major American Christmas productions you have all heard in the 'Disneylands'.

In summary, 'A Christmas Carol' is a magnificent musical tale for all those who have kept a child's soul and who of course love a melodic and efficient metal which integrates immediately...
