There are records that mark you more than others and the latest of the English of 'IT', 'We're All in This Together' is part of them because music becomes an artistic expression to convey a powerful message. The 'Jackson's band has not released a recording for 7 years but it was truly worth it to wait. The concept is a critique of our society on specific points (corruption of governments, despair of having lost everything, consumer's society, etc ...) with the positive conclusion of the title : 'We're All in This Together' which simply says that it's up to each of us to take charge of ourselves to change things. On the music side, we are in the tradition of great progressive music groups like 'Pink Floyd' where everything is put at the service of the message delivered, sometimes raging ('Power'), sometimes desperate ('Born Into Debt') sometimes alternating quiet and tormented parts ('The Path of Least Resistance'). In short, as often in this case, several listenings are necessary to absorb this concept album which will certainly be well received by a warned audience of progressive not just focusing at music...
