'Michael Thompson' is an artist who has participated in numerous projects and worked with prestigious artists on the international scene (Allmusic's page describes all the albums in which he has participated here) and therefore has only released a few albums under the project 'Michael Thompson Band', 'How Long' in 1989 and 'Futur Past' in 2012 (see here). 2019 sees the release of a new album 'Love & Beyond' which contains 11 titles interspersed with 7 small interludes of guitar where the American shows all his feeling of guitarist by carrying us each time on a small cloud. For this last opus, he is surrounded by renowned musicians and singers: we find for singing 'Mark Spiro', 'Larry King', the singer of 'Soleil Moon' with whom he had released the album 'On The Way To Everything! 'In 2012 (see here) and 'Larry Antonino' the bassist of 'Unruly Child' (see here and a new album just released in 2019). From the title 'Love & Behond', we embark on melodic rock that immediately catch us and that brings us back to an AOR or Westcoast rock of the 80's with the talent of 'Michael Thompson' to always offer us very effective guitar solos like for example in 'Passengers', 'Supersonic' or 'Love Was Never Blind' and its look of 'Pretty Woman' by 'Van Halen', or in the beautiful mid-tempo tinted 'Eagles', 'Flying Without Wings'.
