'The Aaron Clift Experiment' is the project of the Texan 'Aaron Clift' who with his group and multiple guests released a 3rd album 'If All Goes Wrong'. The compositions are extremely varied and mix some classical rock, symphonic and psychedelic in a progressive style. 'Faith' sets the scene in an energetic rock and classic 'Rolling Stones', then with 'Last Crash', the rhythm section is very dynamic with a very melodic chorus and an admirable guitar solo. Follows 'Absent Lovers' which contrasts with the first 2 titles and which takes us into a symphonic and progressive composition with several drawers that can recall formations of the 70s as 'Renaissance' or 'Jethro-Tull'. The following continues in this variety with 'Better off Before' tinted 'Beatles', 'Castle in the Sky' which reminds me of the sound of' Focus', 'Savage in a Fancy Suit' tinted 'Jethro-Tull' in the period 'Too Old To Rock 'N' Roll: Too Young To Die!' (The flute in less), the beautiful 'Dream Within a Dream' which can make you think of some neo-prog compositions by 'Steven Wilson' and finally the melancholic and melodic 'If All Goes Wrong' which beautifully closes the album. In short, with this latest opus of 'The Aaron Clift Experiment', you travel in a patchwork of genres and in several decades of pop/rock and this 'If All Goes Wrong' should please all those who love diversity in the progressive...
