After 'Daniel Flores' (see here), it's still a convict of melodic rock who is in the spotlight with his project 'Edge Of Forever', I named the singer and keyboardist 'Alessandro Del Vecchio' with this new opus 'Native Soul'. Indeed, the Italian takes part in many projects as a musician with among others 'Hardline' (last album released in 2019 here), 'Sunstorm' (last album released in 2018 here) but also in production with for example the mixing and mastering of the last 'Viana' (see here). We are therefore in the middle of an energetic melodic hard rock that boost your spirit with tracks that get on you from the first listening : after an amazing 'Three Rivers' (I say amazing because we are not used to it to hear a title a capella in this style of music but this short introduction is quite remarkable), let's go for catchy and powerful compositions filled with good guitar riffs and I will quote for example the melodic jewelry 'Promised Land', 'Wash Your Sins Away' or 'Take You Time' which looks like 'Rainbow' but also quieter titles like the remarkable mid-tempo in an AOR style 'Ride with the Wind' or the magnificent balad 'Shine' as the Italians know how to do so well.
In summary, whatever the project, at each album release in which 'Alessandro Del Vecchio' appears, the result is always the same: compositions of simple quality but extremely effective at first listen and therefore , if you like melodic hard rock and full of good energy, 'Native Soul' is probably for you... | |
