After the live at the Helfest released late 2017 (see Here), our Frenchs of 'Trust' who after 40 years of career (and in this style of music, it doesn’t be so current !!), released a new album ‘Dans le même sang’. After all the setbacks that the group has known in the last 20 years, the least we can say is that this return is a real success and that we find (finally!), The 'Bernie' and 'Nono' that we knew in another life (and yes with a little less osteoarthritis !!), that is to say a return to the source of an authentic hard-rock as it says so well 'Norbert Krief' in the video above: " c’est du Trust brut de pomme !! ". For the beginning, with 'Ni Dieu, ni maître', we find all the energy that we knew with the rebellious voice of 'Bernie' and the big sound with the incisive guitar riffs of 'Nono' without speaking texts always also caustic. It goes on with 'Democrassie' and its boogie / rock tempo in the 'Status Quo' that immediately makes you move your head and kick your foot. The following scrolls nuggets like the powerful ‘Fils de pute, tête de liste’ where politicians take it full on the head, ‘L’exterminateur’ whose introduction is reminiscent of 'Antisocial', 'Christique' which in a register more rock is a critic of religions or 'F-Haine' with guitar riffs are close to the 'Sex Pistols'. Also note 2 quirky titles compared to the known universe of 'Trust', first of all the cover of ‘Edith Piaf', ‘Jm’en fous pas mal’ where, for those who doubted, shows the sensitive side of 'Bernie' (it looks like 'Bénabar' !!) and 'Caliente' that mixes beautifully South American influences and hard-rock. And, when I told you that the 13 titles were recorded in three days, we certainly have the recipe for authenticity that emerges from this new album and shows this pleasure to play together. In summary, this ‘Dans le même sang’ marks the great return of 'Trust' and, for those who had a little quickly buried the group, we find, 40 years later, 'Bernie' and 'Nono' with the same protest rage of the first days, and just for that, gentlemen, hats down !!
