After the very good 'We Will Ride' released at the beginning of the year, the Englishmen of 'Inglorious' decided a few months later to release a new album, this time of covers of female rock and hard-rock artists, a kind of tribute to all these female singers who participated in making rock and hard-rock popular and whose certain compositions have become timeless. So we find in bulk going from the end of the 70s to the 2020s, emblematic singers such as 'Whitney Houston', 'Tina Turner', 'Amy Lee', 'Joan Jett' or even 'Cyndi Lauper' in slightly more muscular versions for some tracks with the addition of energetic guitar riffs but also nice ballad covers with 'I'm With You', 'Time After Time' and 'Uninvited'. It's worth noting that with every album sale on their online shop, they donate a pound to the charity 'Women's Aid'. In short, there's no need to add to it, 'Heroine' is a very nice album of covers by the Englishmen of Inglorious' that should reach a wide audience as all the tracks have been chosen from accessible and melodic rock and hard-rock standards...
