More than 100 000 plays in a few months in Spotify for a group that has only a thousand subscribers on its Facebook site and whose reviews are hard to find on the web, here are the Norwegians of 'Silver Lining' who started by making coverings of 'Gillian Welch' (see here) and who released their 1st album 'Heart and Mind Alike' with original songs. Their style is part of the great tradition of folk song with acoustic instruments and a 'Pedal Steel Guitar' widely used in American music. We sail in very refined country-style tracks with beautiful vocal harmonies thanks to the two singers 'Live Miranda Solberg' and 'Stine Andreassen'; on some titles like 'I Can not Shake It' or 'She Will not Realize', it's 'Halvor Falck Johansen' and her warm voice that fills the whole space a bit like 'Bob Dylan' knew so well how to do it. Note the similarity with their compatriots 'Darlin West' who also released a new album in 2018 and that you can listen here. In summary, the Norwegians of 'Silver Lining' offers us a very nice album with accessible compositions that should reach a very large audience loving the traditional folk and country song ...
