'Saris' is a quite old German band, originally formed in 1981, but they have suffered several formations and 2017 sees the release of their 4th album 'Ghosts Of Yesterday'. Their style is close to bands like 'Pendragon', 'Knight Area', 'Saga' or 'Dream Theater' with a know-how for melodic compositions. We are in an accessible progressive rock register with classic constructions as shown in titles like ‘Masquerade’, ‘Shadow Of War’ or ‘Autumn Sky’ with a perfect balance between the instrumental parts where the keyboards respond to guitars and sung parts shared between 'Henrik Wager' and 'Anja Günther' who form a very captivating duo with elaborate vocal arrangements.
