Once again, It’s a new discovery : 'Anthology' is a Slovak group that just released his 2nd album 'Angel's Revenge'. They operate in a power symphonic style with a singer and they put forward a powerful and epic style. They are not revolutionizing this genre but have already an impressive maturity with for example the latter title 'Labyrinth of Evil' that mixes different atmospheres which set up it a captivating title. In addition, they have the sense of melody that attracts from the first listen like for example 'Devoted Soul', comparable to 'Nightwish', which after the usual instrumental introduction, starts the album in a very energetic way. In summary, for a group that is self-produced, 'Anthology' is a nice surprise in the power symphonic metal registry for this early 2017... | |
