'Crimson Fire' is a Greek band that is already almost 20 years old and has only released 2 albums with 'Metal Is Back' in 2010 and 'Fireborn' in 2016. Basically, an album every 5 or 6 years as their new baby 'Another Dimension' is released in late August 2021. Classified as power metal, it is indeed this style that is put forward from the start with 'Judas' and 'Don't Fall from the Sky' which throw us powerful tracks with memorable choruses but the rest is not only made of compositions in this style as they bring a certain diversity through quite diverse atmospheres. This is evidenced by 'On The Edge', which is more AOR oriented with a much more measured rhythm section and catchy melodic lines, then 'Fire Below' delivers some good classic but very effective melodic hard rock that takes us back a few decades. This is followed by the catchy 'Set the Night on Fire' which matches keyboards and guitar riffs, then 'No Fear' picks up the tempo and returns to incisive power metal and 'Eye Of The Storm' is a remarkable heavy mid-tempo that should have a live audience headbanging. The end of the album sees a driving 'Sold My Soul', the melodic gem 'Chasing Time' and finally 'Walking into the Light', all three of which are closer to melodic hard rock than power metal.
