Like 'Cyril Mokaiesh', the 2 brothers of Archimedes' release their 4th album with 'Mehari'. Compared to Cyril, change of style and speech, they offer us a refreshing album with melodies accessible immediately. Texts mix different themes more or less minor with this ability to handle words to either denounce or entertain us. Some songs are engaged as’Je singe le Monkey' criticizing our society which must always follow standards and fashions or 'Toujours plus con', beautiful text and its obvious conclusion: 'and we call evolution, the art of becoming ever more fool’. Other Songs are lighter as 'Fils de' or 'Le braleur parfait' with texts that fly and recall artists like 'Renaud' (in another era !) or 'Jacques Dutronc'. They also practice self-mockery with this magnificent 'Accroche toi'. In summary, to take one of their songs, we must thank 'Gérard Boisnard' who is ultimately the main responsible, because without him we would not have the happiness to listen to this 'Mehari'... | |
