Italians of 'Eternal Silence', after their last LP 'Mastermind Tyranny' released in 2017, add a third album to their credit with 'Timegate Anathema'. Fans of classical symphonic metal with female singers who like the fusion of metal with classical components, this latest opus from 'Eternal Silence' fits completely into this style and this from the start with 'The Way of Time' which is a direct and efficient composition in which 'Marika Vanni' shows a beautiful vocal ease and whose construction brings original changes of tempos and a beautiful instrumental break in the second part of the track, Then 'Edge of the Dream' continues in this register with orchestral accompaniments that fit perfectly into this mid-tempo with an energetic rhythm. This is followed by equally effective compositions such as the original 'Ancient Spirit' with its magnificent break in the middle of the track which should make people happy in concert, or wuth 'Heart of Lead' which starts as a ballad and then expands into a new effective track, or with the catchy 'Glide in the Air' and its chorus to make the audience jump, or with the energetic 'Rain' and 'My Soul Sad Until Death', the latter with a memorable chorus, without forgetting the beautiful ballad 'Lonely' with a harpsichord accompaniment and the soft acoustic 'Firefly'. To finish in beauty, 'Red Death Masquerade' offers us a condensed energy of magnificent symphonic metal with beautiful choirs and a final chorus that, once the last note has been passed, remains in our heads for a long time. To sum up, the Italians of 'Eternal Silence' offer us a new quality opus with compositions that are a pleasure to listen to and which have all remarkable interpretations and, 'Timegate Anathema' should please all the fans of symphonic metal with catchy melodic lines and immediate accessibility... | |
