After having decided to seriously take care of his voice in 2022 by having an operation to be able to continue the adventure started now more than forty years ago (his last album '2020' being released as its name indicates in the middle of the Covid crisis), 'Jon Bon Jovi' returns with a very good 'Forever' which perpetuates this 80s rock which, for those who experienced this period, gives this feeling of timelessness which feels good. Of course, the American is still recovering and will not tour with his group but it is good to put his melodic jewels between your ears because, there is no point in making you languish, 'Forever', even if the group's style is now more moderate, is a series of addictive melodies that we want to watch over and over again.

And to convince yourself of this, just listen to the first four compositions which immerse you back into this melodic rock as desired, starting with 'Legendary' with its radiant choirs which make you irresistibly want to accompany them (see the video above). Same feeling for the catchy 'We Made It Look Easy' which takes us back to the carefree period of the eighties, then, 'Living Proof' is the well-paced rock composition which automatically turns on the headbanging machine (see the video here), an atmosphere that we also find in 'Seeds' and 'Waves' takes us into a mid-tempo with melodic lines also candidates for listening in a loop . We also find this talent for addictive melodies in 'The People's House' which is very catchy, but also in the no less catchy 'Walls Of Jericho' with its unifying chorus to be repeated in chorus, then 'Living In Paradise' is another power hit. And when the tempo is more moderate, 'Jon Bon Jovi' has no equal in offering us ballads filled with emotion, and in this album, we are spoiled with four wonderful compositions: 'Kiss The Bridge' opens the ball both literally and figuratively, the American having written it for his daughter's wedding and which should bring a few tears to all fathers experiencing this very beautiful moment, then, 'I Write You A Song' is also a addictive ballad to add to the best rock ballads. The end of the album is not bad either with the two melodic jewels which are 'My First Guitar' and 'Hollow Man' which concludes this very beautiful album on a delicious melancholic note.

In summary, even if some will not relate to the beginnings of the group, 'Jon Bon Jovi' and his group offer us a magnificent album with an uninterrupted series of hits which could all have claimed success singles and which perpetuates this timeless rock which had its heyday in the 80s...
