Like many bands, the Germans of 'Volbeat' used the period of health crisis to produce a new album because, for two years, they have managed to release a studio recording 'Rewind, Replay, Rebound' in 2019 and the live 'Rewind, Replay, Rebound (Live in Deutschland)' at the end of 2020. This new baby 'Servent Of The Mind' is now available since the beginning of December 2021 and, they did not do things by halves because the deluxe version, available on spotify, contains 18 tracks (including two covers of 'Shotgun Blues' with the participation of the singer 'Dave Matrise' and the solo version of 'Michael Schon Puolsen' from 'Dagen Før') for almost an hour and twenty minutes of good melodic heavy music that draws from different styles ranging from rockabilly to an extreme metal. For the followers of a powerful and energetic sound, you are in the right place because we embark for a succession of effective hits that we appropriate immediately and whose melodic lines come to be grafted in the head in the first listening. I will quote the titles which were the object of a video, and which are a good sample of the whole: first of all, the rockabilly metalized 'Wait A Minute My Girl' (see video above), the heavy 'Shotgun Blues', the melodic gem 'Dagen Før' and the powerful and speed 'Becoming'. To note also, the almost 8 minutes of 'Lasse's Birgitta' which closes the standard version and whose second part flirts with progressive with a provided instrumental section. In short, you don't change a winning team and this last album of 'Volbeat' is in the continuity of their previous offerings and shows that the Germans continue to distil hits in spades with this heavy and catchy style thanks to the remarkable sharp riffs of 'Michael Schon Poulsen'...
