It's now been 6 years that the Germans of 'starfish64' release albums at the frequency of a metronome, every two years, because 'Scaterred Pieces Of Blue' will be the fourth chronicle that I do of this progressive pop/rock band , after 'An Altered State Of Joy' in 2016, 'The Future in Reverse' in 2018 and 'The Crimson Cabinet' in 2020. The band at 'Dieter Hoffmann' once again takes us into their progressive universe made up of delicate and refined atmospheres often tinged with a beneficial melancholy. Apart from the centerpiece of the album, 'Time's up Utopia', which exceeds 9 minutesn and which highlights keyboards with soft electronic sounds unfolding a captivating melody, all the compositions do not exceed 4 minutes. and if, from the start, you adhere to the first title 'Blue Piece (Of Something In The Air)' developing a memorable first chorus, chances are that you will be seduced by the following titles starting with the ballad 'Birdsong' (see video above), then by the rhythmic 'Forget Me Now' (see the video here) or by the refined 'Happiness' highlighting all the vocal sensitivity of 'Dieter Hoffman' or by the languorous 'Intersection One' or even by 'Space Junk' which closes the album in a 'Floydian' atmosphere with a magnificent guitar solo by 'Jörg Hoffma n'.

In summary, the Germans of 'starfish64' continue their merry way by offering us a new album which transports us for a moment in their universe filled with sensitivity and serenity conducive to escape and that we savor quietly the headphones on the ears to get out of the daily hustle and bustle...
