'Thundermother' is a project created in 2010 by four Swedish hard rockers who have already released 4 albums, 'Rock'n Roll Disaster' in 2014, 'Road Fever' in 2015, 'Thundermother' in 2018 and 'Heat Wave' in 2020. They are coming back in 2022 with a new baby that continues to offer us good energetic and unbridled hard rock to listen to for breakfast to get in shape for a whole day. The line-up has evolved since the formation of the group by the leader of this formation, the guitarist 'Filippa Nässil', having been joined in 2017 by 'Guernica Mancini' on vocals and 'Emlee Johansson' on drums and since 2019, it is now 'Majsan Lindberg' who is on bass.
To give you the tone of the album, the first title 'The Light in the Sky' gives us a hard rock noise and a first chorus with 'hohohoho' to be repeated in chorus until the extinction of voice, and if you don't buy into this burst of energy, you can move on. For the others, the label 'AFM Records' having not skimped on the means, the videos available on youtube give a good overview of the whole with the 4 four compositions 'Black and Gold' , 'Watch Out', 'I Don't Know You' and 'Loud And Free'. The rest is therefore in the image of these four videos and to recover from all this ardor, our four hard-rockers also show their tender side with two beautiful ballads that are 'Hot Mess' (see the video here) and 'Borrowed Time'.
In short, the four Swedes of 'Thundermother' continue their way with an explosive new album which contains all the ingredients of a good fiery hard rock and filled with good positive energy... | |
